You may not be aware that the Hybrid vehicle credits are stair-stepped and dead lined.

For example, the Honda and Toyota models no longer qualify for the credit.
Most Ford vehicles were dropped in 2009 with the Fusion Hybrid drop credit ending in March 2010.
After that date, only GM and Nissan vehicles will qualify.

Be sure to check the IRS website before purchasing a hybrid vehicle if the credit is an important factor in your decision.
